open rp post for Ryan Farrow & various AUs.

original: a shut-in nerd who lives in the basement of a haunted house; runs something of a halfway house for ghosts who haven't yet moved on, and takes in those who just need a place to haunt. active in online supernatural circles. weirdly zen about how nobody dies before their time, so there's no point worrying about it. it's not like dead people don't stick around sometimes, anyway. pretty awkward, has a hard time telling living and dead people apart, basically relies on delivery services to survive.

GAMES-- (mostly here for old game cr, but I'm down even if we didn't play together!)
CDC: Orange team, largely support. super chill about the planet destruction thing, because obviously it's their time, and if they don't do it someone else will.
Ryslig: can roll with various monster types here, but he was a mer in-game, a naga temporarily, and ended as a nymph.

FANDOM-- (AUs I've played for psls/memes/etc.; can fit him into other settings as needed, these are just ones I've already got.)
Dragon Age: companion-type character, not a protag. Frost focused mage, still kind of isolated; formerly part of a now-dissolved Circle and very unhappy about being out in the world + the general state of it. would have been perfectly happy if nothing changed, wants to go back to the Circle. can be sort of prickly.
alternate powers/etc: telepath with very poor control; can't keep his own thoughts from leaking out, fairly sensitive to others'. more nervous than other versions, somewhat more avoidant thanks to that issue.
The Secret World (MMO): a blood mage cornered into making a deal with a demon for more power and an escape from hell, after stumbling through a portal. shifted to studying demonology afterwards, focused on controlling and using them. would very much like to be a healer, but unfortunately skilled in offensive blood magic; it gets pretty messy out there and he's kind of uncomfortable with it. can knit you a scarf with sigils secretly woven into the pattern, protective or otherwise-- probably don't take gifts from him if he doesn't like you.

PROMPTS: (mainly for his original version but we can work some stuff out!)

1. he's fairly well known in certain online circles; maybe they're internet friends and already know him, maybe they were just sent to him for help. either way, Ryan is used to finding strange people (or whatever they happen to be) on his doorstep.
2. have sixth sense, will travel-- some issues you just can't take care of long-distance. he doesn't like packing up and going other places, especially cities, but problems are problems and he's here anyway.
3. the texting option! he basically lives online, after all. most of his friends haven't ever seen him in person. I'll probably put up a comment with some tflns if you'd rather respond to something.
4. the au option-- if you want to play in your own canon, hit me with it, we'll au something up. he's an oc, it's easy.
